About Andrew Luck Book Club

Mission

The mission of the Andrew Luck Book Club is to build a team of readers of all levels.

Why a book club?

My passion for reading is no secret. I’ve always enjoyed reading and discussing books and getting suggestions for new books. With this book club, I have a platform to share my love of reading with an even larger audience.

Where did this idea come from?

The idea was planted during my Men in Blazers’ interview in February 2015 with hosts Roger Bennett and Michael Davies. In jest, they brought up the idea of an “Andrew Luck Book Club.” Later, Kevin Clark from The Wall Street Journal wrote an article where he tagged me as the “NFL’s unofficial librarian”, and then my mom started noticing people using the hashtag #ALBookClub on twitter. This book club just makes it official.

How does the book club work?

Every month, I’ll recommend two books for our team of readers: one for the “Rookies” (younger folks) and the other for “Veterans” (more seasoned readers). Timelines and reminders will be posted to make sure we are on track to finish the books. I’ll also try to interview one author each month and share that podcast with you on the website. During the football season, I may have “surprise” hosts help with the book selections.

How do I participate?

It’s really simple, there is no sign up or log in. Just find a copy of the current book and start reading! After that go to AndrewLuckBookClub.com to see what others are posting about the book and listen to the podcasts where I interview selected authors. Feel free to post photos and thoughts about the books on Facebook, Instagram and/or Twitter. If you use the hashtag #ALBookClub, your post will most likely end up on the Homepage “SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS WITH #ALBOOKCLUB” section. So check that out too!

Is there an age restriction for participation in the book club?

The Andrew Luck Book Club encourages people of all ages to read. However, the primary way to participate in the Andrew Luck Book Club is through the use of #ALBookClub on Facebook, Instagram and/or Twitter. In order to post on any of these social media platforms you must be actively signed in. All three of these services require users be at least 13 years of age.
